Another thing that was said alot during those next days were that those victims were brave. Let us look at the definition of brave from Dictionary.com
Brave - noun, verb, braved, brav·ing.
–adjective
1. possessing or exhibiting courage or courageous endurance.
2. making a fine appearance.
3. Archaic. excellent; fine; admirable.
This was often shouted out by the media and everyone on television. Now, one cannot deny that the police and the firefighters were brave people, but were the victims brave?
No.
They were murdered, plain and simple, without warning. Once again, the American people allowed themselves to be manipulated by the media. The media threw on a positive connotation so we could further sympathize and mourn for our fellow Americans. As we mourned, we were thrown deeper into a state of depression, and the government promised to make everything better.
Again: 6 years later... we have no results.
